Dr. Qasem Al-Radaideh is a Professor of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Yarmouk University. He received the B.Sc. degree from Yarmouk University, Faculty of Science where he graduated with a major in Computer Science. In 1991, he joined the Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in a research master's program in Natural Language Processing. He has been assigned as a research assistant (RA) under the IRPA research program from 1991 till 1993. In 1994 he has obtained an M.Sc. degree then he joined Yarmouk University as a lecturer in the department of computer science from 1994 to 2002. Dr. Al-Radaideh received his Ph.D. in the Data Mining field from the University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2005. He was granted some academic awards and scholarships. After graduation, he worked at Yarmouk University as an assistant professor in the Faculty of IT from 2005 till 2012 where he has been promoted to Associate Professor in 2012. Dr. Al-Radaideh received the Hisham Hijjawi Award for Applied Science – ITC track for the year 2011. Dr. Al-Radaideh was the vice dean for the faculty of Information Technology and Computer Sciences at Yarmouk University from Dec 2013 until Sept 2016. In addition, he was the chairman of the Department of Computer Information Systems Department from August 2008 to Sept 2010 and the Vice Dean for Quality Assurance from Jan 2015 to Nov 2015. Dr. Al-Radaideh Ph.D. is in the Data Mining field, particularly in Rough Set based Classification. His research interest includes Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery in Database, Rough Set based Knowledge Reduction and Classification, Arabic Language Computation, Natural Language Processing, and Information Retrieval. He has several publications in the areas of Data Mining and Arabic Language Computation. Dr. Al-Radaideh was involved in an Erasmus + project from (2015-2018). The project is within the capacity building in Higher Education track (CBHE) with the title “Joint Programs and Framework for Doctoral Education in Software Engineering / PWs@PhD”. In addition, he was involved in a TEMPUS project in the period 2007-2009 with the title “Towards building a master program in Media Convergence”.
